On here you will find details of any videos I’ve made of things in Derby and also Time-lapse, stop motion animation, Tutorials etc. If I find some useful software for PC or iPhone then I will feature it here.I’m sure that there will be something of interest to someone on my many posts. Please leave comments on any posts if you like them.
Don’t forget if you are new to my blog and would like to read through the previous posts then see the Blog Archive section on the left side of this page.
Also there is a Search box at the top left of the page if you are looking for something but cant remember where it was. I am a trustee member of "Friends of Friar Gate bridge", aiming to get this bridge restored.

Some of my Derby "Then and nows" are on Vine, Follow me if you like them

I recently joined Vine and have started to produce a few.
If you would like to follow me so you can see my latest creations get the free Vine app on your smartphone and follow me here :
Andy Savage on vine.

I have found that the auto-looping feature that Vine offers is perfect for showcasing my Derby then and now videos. Although it has limited resolution they work quite well......

Thanks
Andy

My first ever Vine video. My out of control Lawn!

Now I have an iPhone6 I am able to try out new things and I have now started using Vine. If you are not sure what Vine is, its a video platform like Youtube BUT the big difference is that your video is limited to 7 seconds and is a square format. This mean that you have to be creative when you capture your footage. Because the video also automatically loops over and over you also have to consider the last frame and will it match the first frame so in my video I had to think about the starting shot and make my final clip end at the same angle as the start so it loops nicely.

Here is my first ever "planed" Vine video : "Thank God for my Flymo Mower"

The cat you can see at the end is called Tina.
